Cheapest Black Friday Promo EVER

November 17, 2016 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Okay, so you’re up against the Big Guys. Everyone’s out to grab shoppers on the Black Friday, Shop Small Saturday, Cyber Monday (why doesn’t that Sunday gets its own moniker? Dunno.)

So what can your little shop do to get shoppers into YOUR place?

How about something that’s readily available (it’s always a challenge running a shop, so you maybe didn’t plan ahead), inexpensive (gotta be careful not to give away the profits ’cause that would be silly), easy to do (never enough hands on deck, are there?) and most of all, important in this day and age of social media

visually stunning?

How about free gift wrap? Even if you haven’t bought gift bags and colorful tissue wholesale ahead of time, you can find some good-looking material at the dollar stores. Choose colors, patterns, styles that fit your branding, display empty gift bags throughout your shop (don’t neglect the window and the shoo entry/ landing pad), and talk it up on all your online outlets.

“Free gift wrap” also has the vitally-important sub-message of “yes you can buy holiday gift items in our resale shop”… which you and I know, but the general public might not realize.

Thanks for your idea. We have been giving out ornaments to our customers with each purchase. We make up a big basket with ornaments that would not sell in our shop but our customers think are great as a gift.

What a lovely idea! I’d be on Cloud 9 if someone offered me an ornament!
