Learn a Lot: E-snooping

September 18, 2017 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Where do you find the best information about your resale business?

Well, in our Products for the Professional Resaler, of course. But there’s another source for great ideas you can adapt to your consignment, resale or thrift shop, and that’s viewing

the work of professional copywriters, publicists, and PR people that you can access online.

It’s easy to do. Just follow thredup, tradesy, therealreal, snobswap, etc for ideas. They’ve got the big bucks, which means that they might have the marketing masterminds mulling over how to present their goods and their concepts to the buying public. After all, your clientele is pretty much identical to theirs,

… so use their ideas as a springboard for YOUR advertising creativity!

Hi, I’ve been trying to unsubscribe, but your blog name isn’t on my WordPress list when I hit the unsubscribe link on your emails. Can you do this from your end? Thank you.

Hi Pampretties, I’m so sorry that you continue to receive WordPress updates in my blog even though you’re not interested (wiping a tear away…). WordPress blog reader isn’t like broadcast email services… I have no control over it.
To help you, I proceeded to play around. Here’s what I think works:
      * Go to your WP Reader, click on “followed sites/ manage” (on left on my laptop)
      * Find my blog which you (sob!) not longer wish to read
      * To the right, “Following” means it shows up in your Reader/ it’s a simple on/off choice.
      * The grey gear icon labeled settings controls email me or not and the frequency… so you can leave a blog in your reader but never have it clutter your mailbox, if you choose.

Let me know if that works for you, and again, I’m so sorry for my blog posts to be showing up when you don’t (boo-hoo) care about me anymore 🙂
