Will a blog help my shop? In a word: of course. (Yup, that’s 2 words.)

June 27, 2019 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

I could wax eloquent about how valuable a blog is to your consignment, thrift, or resale shop… but you already know how great it is to communicate with your customers and potential customers on social media. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if, instead of shouting at them across a crowded cocktail party (which is Facebook, Instagram, and the like), you could invite them to join you for a moment on that comfy loveseat over in a quiet corner so your two can talk, really talk? (That’s what a blog is.) And then use that “invite” and that one-on-one talk over and over again with no extra effort? (You won’t believe what a TIMESAVER a blog can be!)

If you’ve thought about it, but been afraid to start a blog for fear of complicated instructions… or if you’re afraid you’ll have nothing to say (ha!), check out the TGtbT Blogging page. On it, you’ll find our workshop handout for free, some great resources, and Blogging for Resalers, which will introduce you to why, when, how and all those good points about blogging to increase traffic in your consignment, resale, or thrift shop.

The WordPress.com learning site is so easy to follow, you might want to take a look at it some evening after work. Yes, it IS that easy… and maybe you’ll get excited to start a blog!
