A TGtbT Teeny Tip for Consignment, Resale, Thrift Shops

October 18, 2010 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

A TGtbT Teeny Tip:

A Too Good to be Threw Teeny TipRestate your expiration dates on coupons, membership cards, and the like from the NEGATIVE to the POSITIVE:

Not “Expires 11-30-2010” but

“VALID thru 11-30-2010”

A tiny difference, to be sure, but a powerful one.

What a difference it makes. Even the word VALID is great – it’s like permission to shop 😉

I’ll take Teeny Tips All Day! Thanks! In a previous life I was a sales coach/trainer and we always focused on turning the negatives into positives. Instead of starting a phone conversation with “Hello Mary, this is Monique, I didn’t catch you at a bad time did I?”

Smart! Getting rid of all negative messages in our stores makes a big difference.
