Using shop windows to add information, permanent or temporary, is a natural. In fact, if your windows have nothing on them, you’re missing a great marketing opportunity. Here are some embellished consignment and resale windows from across the continent. Click to see photos larger.

Here, a mix of permanent signage (shop name and adorable tag line) and temporary: those wonderful spring flowers!
Thanks to the proliferation of sites on the web where you can design your own lettering and get it ready-to-apply, this is no longer an expensive option. Just search for “vinyl lettering” (a reader suggestion on TGtbT.com’s Links Page )… and remember, the letters go on the OUTSIDE of your glass for maximum visibility.
My thanks to the shops here whose photos come from the web.
Hi Jenni, Once upon a time I gathered all the info needed re painting on your windows, but darned if I can find it now (I need an assistant!) Try using a search engine to come up with helpful info…then come back here, or go over to our resale/ consignment discussion board, Sharing at TGtbT.com and share what you find!
Stars are a great idea, and one that I have a photo for… check over at Sharing, I’ll post it there for all to see.

Oh my goodness! All such great ideas. I wonder what kind of pens Ooma used to make those flowers and vines on their windows?
And now I’m thinking of snowflakes, stars and swirls for the holidays…
