This is gonna be fun.
I got interviewed, since I’m the “go-to source for resale” she said, for the Sarasota city paper on having garage sales! (Note: We are just really getting INTO our garage-sale season here in sweaty southern Florida.) I just hope the reporter picked up on my constant refrain… If it’s worth more than pocket change, take it to a resale or consignment shop where they’ll know how to get you top buck for it! And, of course, I insisted she write down, word for word: If it’s clean and works but didn’t sell… take it to your favorite charity thrift shop.
Garage sales might be winding down in your area now…or not.
Imagine all those great sweaters, jeans, coats being sold at rock-bottom prices
in someone’s driveway… things that you’d gladly have. Isn’t it a shame to let your neighbors make only pennies, when your shop’s services could find their good items a more loving and profitable home?
Here’s a handout that you might consider having readily available in your shop for those potential suppliers who say well, I’d rather have a yard sale… Remember to leave the author’s copyright information on your handout and also to add a box saying something like this article brought to you courtesy of MyShop where your best underloved items are never underappreciated
And of course, 12 Ways to Beat Garage Sales will help you get the buyers into your shop!
Yes, I was happy to find this for use by resalers. Glad you like it.

Great handout. I’m taking your advice and having this ready to give to those who waiver between accepting our buyout offer or consider having a garage sale.
