Keep the kids happy while Mom shops

December 12, 2011 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Snowpeople come in all sizes at consignment, resale, and thrift storesLooking for something to keep little ones occupied, so their parents can shop in peace?

Or maybe you want to give the little ones something to take home?

You’re welcome to enjoy this all-winter-long HowToConsign.com coloring page and reproduce it to use in your shop, even if you have not chosen to be a Sponsor at HTC.

Please do not, however, remove the HTC branding on my gift to you. If you feel you don’t want to use the HTC PDF for whatever reason, simply find your own copyright-free coloring page graphic, save it, open up your word-processing program, resize and place, figure out a font and a saying, and create something similar to my creation for HowToConsign.com.

While the kids do make a mess, we have an area for kids to play with a giant chalkboard (the back of two bookshelves!). Sure there is chalk dust, but it doesn’t do too much damage! I would much rather have the happy moms, knowing their kids can’t hurt anything accidently. Of course, my 2 year old is with my full time, so I have to accommodate!

I like the idea of giving them to them as the leave. I nice jester and another reminder laying around the customers house to shop your great store

We used to have a Kid’s corner w toys and color books etc. We stopped when one day, we went to clean up the area and found coloring all over the walls, mirror and store tags without merchandise attached to it.

Well, then, you’d probably not want to take a chance by offering this to a child in-store since that happened to you once. Perhaps handing it to the child on the way out might be fun though, rolled and tied with a colorful ribbon.

How do those washable crayons work? A mother want to chime in here?
