Take a cute idea, and make it cuter

March 22, 2013 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

This display was for Halloween, showing of Stella McCartney handbags in London.

Re-inventing a Stella McCartney window display

Cute, isn’t it? Certainly calls attention to the luxury handbags. What a shame, an idea like this would only work for a week or two in late October.

But wait! Just MAYbe….

we could use the idea and make it suitable for any time of year. Like this week. Or next or whenever you have a good selection of those coveted, covetable, high-dollar ticket handbags.

How about taking your mannequins, putting brown paper bags over their heads (and maybe brown-paper-bag colored simple outfits on them), adding those gorgeous bags, and making a sign that says

You Could Wear a Paper Bag over your Head… if you were Carrying the right Designer Bag!

“Course, this requires a bit of tongue-in-cheek attitude in your store branding.

Or should we call it Tongue in Chic?
