With spring finally arriving in many places, it’s time to draw attention to your consignment, thrift or resale shop with sidewalk* signs. Here’s some short, sweet messages that might inspire some folks to slam on the brakes before they pass your shop.
Make ’em smile, and you’re halfway to selling them. Remind them how fun shopping is, and you’re ALL the way!

Just change the word “shoe” to “couch” or “diaper” or whatever you want to sell…

* If local government forbids your placing signage outside your shop, remember that temporary signs, taped to the inside of your window glass, is usually exempt from law. (Just don’t call me to bail you out in the middle of the night if you’re not in a “usually” type of town.)
Local gov is not my problem but landlord is! He does not allow sandwich boards anywhere on the complex. Apprently this was a one sentence clause in everyones lease that we all missed. This is really a problem because I had one sign that brought in at least 4 new customer/consignors every week!

Aw, Georgia, some leases are bummers, huh? Well, there’s always window signage. Also, is it possible to call attention to your shop in other ways? Even a colorful planter might work…
