When is it important to remind them what shop they are in?

September 18, 2013 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Have you invested in a branded door mat?

If you have, or if you’re thinking about doing so, how would you place your mat?

Do you remind potential customers where they are as they enter your business?
Branded floor mat, on the way OUT of this antique mall.
Do you refresh their memories of your business as they leave?

Of such small decisions is success made. So tell us (or add your thoughts, that’s the 3rd choice.) :

We have the store name on the wall behind the counter,,,, nice big wood painted letters. They know where they are when they are in our store, especially since the counter is a straight shot from the entrance.

Excellent! Thanks for reminding me to remind shopkeepers that it’s SO important for your clientele to have your name burnt into their shopping genes!
Here’s some image examples for others who’d like to grab this idea for their shops: https://auntiekate.wordpress.com/2010/08/01/what-do-all-these-store-have-in-common-and-does-yours/ shop name over desk

Thanks, all who voted (an amazing 80+% had no opinion!) Here’s the “other category”: 25% of them said “hey, I better get one of those store-branded floor mats”. And one brilliant person said “I’d get a mat that could be read in either direction so I get benefits coming AND going”… which I personally think is a brilliant idea. And one I never thought of.
