Turning ODs into a Boutique Must-Have!

March 2, 2014 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Did you see this Pinterest pin a few days back on the Too Good to be Threw Pinterest Boards?

Cute photo. I had to have a caption though, so read what I suggested (click the pin to see it all).

Amy of Again and Again2 did… and here’s what she sent me:

You posted this week about turning expired jeans into cut offs – we just made 40 pairs – bleached and tie dyed and put our display together today ! Thanks so much for the idea ! I now have 3 teenage girls as my suppliers .

And here’s her social media photo on her new category, created locally and available in her local shops!

cutoffs again amy as per suggestion

Thanks for showing how readily this idea could be done, Amy! And thanks for following ALL our Pinterest Boards, including our NEW board The Business of Resale!

Don’t throw away the extra fabric from cut-off jeans. Make zipper pouches, donate the fabric to pre-schools for art projects or recycle in some other way!

Thanks for the reminder, Judy! Over on the TGtbT Pinterest Board for Shopkeepers and on the HowToConsign Pinterest Boards, we’ve gathered some fun ideas on using up the scraps!

OMG – my staff and I were just discussing this today! We started a collection of jeans six months ago so we have a bunch of jeans we plan to do this with next week! Fun fun – I’ll post pics!
