Does your resale, thrift or consignment shop have an active Pinterest presence?
Maybe you’re afraid you won’t have enough to interest your audience?
Nonsense.
Let me take you on a whirlwind tour of some resale shop Pinterest boards I think are creative, clever… and profit-boosting!
(First take a quick look at the variety of ideas and topics your shop could use, by glancing at HowToConsign.com’s Pinterest boards for consumers… click “follow all” when you get there, then hurry back here… we have a lot to cover today. You can repin all you like from there later on.)
Here’s one with visual tips about “What We’re Looking For” to guide potential consignors and to prompt non-consignors into cleaning out their not-loved-enough clothes
And a sampling of their wares in this e-shop’s “Coolest in our Closet” lets the viewer get a tempting overall look at their offerings
A shop in a resort/ winter resident area tempts those who love beach-style interiors to explore their ideas… and shop their shop with “Beachy Keen” if they’d added more info in the text
And here’s a fun idea if you have a display fanatic in your shop: What would ____ wear if they shopped MyShop this month? Here’s a old collection of Mad Men-type outfits. Imagine the possibilities: everyone from Chanel to Beyonce. And your pins would be SO useful on your blog and other social media too!
Has this post inspired you to use Pinterest as a prime social media opportunity to promote your shop? Would you like more resale industry-specific ideas and tips on how to use Pinterest? I got ’em, and
I love Pinterest and would like to hear more of how I could use it for our shop.
