How to get the best ROI on your consignment shop’s social media

December 8, 2014 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Remember yur ROI when investing in social mediaHow much time do you spend

creating posts on your social media? And how much return on investment (ROI) do you get for all that work?

It’s disheartening, I know, to post something on your business FB… and then see that fewer than 2-4% of those who follow you even had your post appear on their timeline (and who knows if any of them stopped, read it, and thought of your shop?) Happens to me, happens to you.

So when I got a report last week that one of my business Pinterest accounts got almost 400 interactions although I’d spent less than 5 minutes posting there… I was thrilled with my

fabulous ROI!

You see, for people to repin a pin, or comment on it, means they actually looked at it, read the caption mentioning my business, and reacted. They interacted… and thus, they actually spread the message I posted to their friends and followers. Goodness knows how many people saw the pin and the sales message I wrote without interacting… statistics suggest that number could be in the thousands!

Lesson learned: pay attention to what social media provides you with what return on investment.

Invest time and effort in something that works for your business by analyzing what works.
