One of the best ways to make your social media duties easier is to recycle blog posts. You already know you can post your blog entries on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest et al., and many shopkeepers do this.
But do you recycle helpful blog posts later on?
Maybe you never thought of this, but it’s a great time saver for consignment, resale and thrift shops. Social media giants do it all the time. For example, a FB message this morning, Feb. 1 2015, from Post Planner, said
Want your fans to instantly recognize you in the news feed? Then you need to brand your Facebook posts *visually*. Here are 5 easy steps to do that!
and led to this blog post. Which was written almost a year ago.
Our blog uses Deja Vuesday blog posts to call attention to earlier entries that maintain their helpfulness.
We also scroll through back posts and Pinterest the most compelling visual images on the various boards on our Pinterest page, being careful to use the right category. Here’s an example I just posted on Facebook. And, of course, it goes to my Twitter account automatically.
Let’s count that up: first, I posted a thought on my blog (3412 followers).
Later, I posted the graphic that illustrates the thought on Pinterest (4046 followers).
Just now, I used the Pinterest post on Facebook (1106 likes) so folks would become aware of my Pinterest Board, and click through to my blog.
which also appears on my Twitter (979 followers).
So a blog entry I created almost 3 years ago, just got put in front of
9543 potential customers
All for an investment, today, of five minutes. Heck, my coffee’s not even cold yet.
And that’s why having a shop blog is good for business.
