Loving this Facebook post for a consignment shop’s selection of prom dresses. Love the second example, too. The third? Meh.
Wow, look how pretty! Which one should I buy? That aqua one looks just like Steph! That’s what those 35 shares and 5 comments and 11 forwards are all about. Bonus points for the little spark of personality that I’ve highlighted. Don’t you agree, this post leaves you smiling?
Now, perhaps changing that mannequin umpteen times and adding sizes and creating a collage is just not in your schedule. I understand. So this next photo is nice too: the pretty smiles, professional poses, even the silk tree backdrop… and all the shop had to is add their logo. That’s important, so when it’s shared, “strangers” will know where to go to get their dresses.
Here, a photo that, to be honest, is 50 shades of worse than just “Meh”… does this photo thrill and motivate you to go shopping for your prom dress? Didn’t think so.
Prom dresses can be big-ticket items in your consignment or resale shop, and even more,
they serve to introduce fresh new shoppers (and their moms!) to a store they may never have visited before. So any extra care you give your social media for this merchandise is worth it!
I spy Best Bib and Tucker dresses. Yes these albums take awhile to create- although we have the photo session down to a science at this point.. We’ve found it’s well worth the time!
