Let there be light: Make your consignment shop stand out from the crowd.

March 27, 2015 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

I was wandering through an artisan show last Saturday when, across the hall of crocheted infinity scarves and dip-tied tank tops, my eye was caught by a shelving display… and I realized that

the vendor had done just what I had suggested in a blog entry.

Now chances are, she didn’t do that just because she read my blog… and after all, lots of folks have the same idea. But my point? She did it, it made her booth stand out from the Sea of Sameness that afflicts merchandising currently… and heck, she caught my eye, so maybe adding lights will catch the eye of your potential consignment or resale customers. Some Too Good to be Threw ideas:

A very-slightly more elaborate use of light strands:

And even more time-consuming, as in maybe half an hour:

This yummy lighting decor system involves a stepladder, but is totally worth it, don’t you think?

How do you use strings of lights in your shop? Share your brilliant illuminating ideas in the comments….

I bought 3-foot internally illuminated stars as a Christmas decoration. Three shiny gold and three white. Everybody loves them so much that we have kept them up.

And, of course, with your shop name, Dazzle, the starlight is so totally appropriate!
