Countdown to Clearance

January 21, 2016 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Looking forward to clearing out your racks of winter items this month?

Clearance sales, bag sales, dollar racks (which of course don’t have to be ONE-dollar racks) and BOGO events are great. So’s this idea, which I’d use NOW, before your clearance gets going seriously.

I call it the

ONE….TWO….FREE Sale!

The 1-2-FREE sale idea from TGtbT.comThat’s right. Just like you think. Buy any 2 items, get the 3rd free. Of course, “your lowest-priced item is the freebie.”

Imagine the cute advertising/ social media graphic you could make with picmonkey.com or ribbet.com or the like.

Imagine the markdowns you won’t have to mark, the merchandise you won’t have to shift here and there, and the multiple purchases your customers will make!

Have as few restrictions on this sale as you can. After all, when you have your bug clearance sale in a few weeks, your markdowns will be more than 33%… which is the maximum discount this promotion will cost you.

Need input and suggestions about sale time in your consignment, resale or thrift shop? Get 22 pages of ideas and info with the TGtbT Product Bag Sales Dollar Racks and BOGO Deals in your email pretty darn quick.
