Are your regulars, well, not as regular as you’d like?

February 1, 2017 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Are your regulars, well, not as regular as you’d like?

Could it be they’re passing your shop by when they just “don’t have the time

to browse”?

Make 'em laugh and you're halfway to selling them, says Kate Holmes of TGtbT.com

Here’s a solution: Have a rack or two that holds New Arrivals. Tell your followers, fans, friends of friends that you’ve started one, “because we know, sometimes, you just want to pop in and see the highlights of our vast selection.” Then re-tell them in person with a bit of rack signage. It could be as simple as this illustration.

And this rack is a wonderful way to lighten your workload too: once merchandise is tagged, plop it on that New Arrivals Rack until there’s time to sort, size, and colorize them away into the regular racks!

Sell home goods, not clothes? Use The New Arrivals This Week as the name for a Facebook Photo Album, posting as many pix as you find feasible on a scheduled day. Your FB fans will look forward to seeing some of the highlights of your accepting area. (And of course, you’ll post a link to that album several times that week…)
