Sweetest Gift for Customers: Candy bars!

April 28, 2017 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Sometimes, you just need a little gift to make customers feel special.

Candy Bar Sayings for Customer Gifts in your consignment shop, from Auntie Kate

Visit welovebeingmoms.blogspot.com

How about a candy bar? Or try several bite-size candies in a baggie, with a clever note of appreciation from your business.

You could build traffic on a day of the week that might be slow of you, offering a Sweet Treat to the First 20 Visitors via an early-morning social media post. Or prepare these small tokens of friendship for the retirement village bus visit, a holiday eve, or heck, give them out on your birthday, because sweet customers are your gift to yourself!

Some examples:

  • On a Hershey bar: You are the sweetest customer, BAR none
  • M&Ms? You are Marvelous & Magnificent
  • Milky Way: For a friend who’s out of this world!

Need a reason to promote your giveaway? Celebrate these “holidays”:

  • July 7 is National Chocolate Day
  • November 4th: NATIONAL CANDY DAY!!
  • And the whole month of June is Candy Month!

If you have a particularly-favorite candy, chances are, it has its own special day, according to this list from the National Confectionery Association.

Some of these links even have free printable tags, if you’re truly in a rush and need to get this idea ready overnight!

Tip: If you use those generic tags, be sure to add in your business card, so your recipients remember that their little bite of the sweetness of life came courtesy of your business.

I am participating in a Business Expo tomorrow and I went to Pinterest for inspiration and came up with the following. I will have a bowl of snack size Pay Day Bars stapled to a coupon for 30% off on their next visit to my store. The sign next to the bowl will read “Make Your Pay Day Dollars stretch farther when you shop at Glad Rags Resale Boutique!! I may do this again for my store anniversary in June.
