We have a group Kudos today, to all the consignment, resale and thrift shops who cannot pass up the opportunity to
get their name in front of eyeballs.
We’ve talked before about watermarking, adding text, and so on to your social media posts (if only to let their friends know about your shop, when fans share a particularly stunning photo), and here are some folks who realize that it’s worth doing… and some various ways to brand merchandise photos!
Curv Exchange, in St. Petersburg FL, simply uses their business card. Doesn’t get much easier than THAT!
Heck, you can even use your sign! (Or your chalkboard sidewalk stand, the lettering on your shop windows…) Here, The Eclectic Rose has taken a photo which she can use over and over.

Making a frame for your photos gives them cohesion as well as your logo! UpScaleIT does so (and isn’t this a cute way to show a designer bag?)
More the subtle type? Zeal is too (with display letters!)
Here’s more info from Auntie Kate on graphics, branding, and building your business with great graphics:
- First, let’s make the photo look good. And more info here.
- Why captions count. And how to add them in Facebook, after the fact.
- Props that help.
- A whimsical way to add words to your photos.
