Do you know your neighbors? I don’t.

Oh, I do know the lady to the south, and like her. To the north? An extended family lives there… several generations, whose language I cannot identify, yet alone understand. They have a nice dog, though. Across the street? One of a half-dozen folks I know.

Okay, so I was wrong. ONE restaurant that I go to DOES have an email list that they use. Usually, they’re niceHere\'s a tapas for you... little email missives, but nothing special (except of course that there are so few restaurants who USE email….). This issue, though, had me smiling, and I bet that whenever I realize it’s Tuesday again, I’ll associate Tuesday with Sangria Tapas… pretty clever of them, no?

Sunday evening I was waylaid by an earnest young female in a vest covered in patches showing her achievements. I mean, wasn’t it my patriotic or gender-duty to buy some Girl Scout cookies? Of course it was.

When I got home (yes, I did wait until I was safely off the road before ripping into that box of Thin Mints) I noticed something very interesting. Or maybe it was interesting only to my chocolate-befuddled brain.

Just the other day, took my polka-dot PT to the printers and brought home the 20th Anniversary edition of Too Good to be Threw, The Complete Operations Manual for Resale & Consignment Shops.The first edition of TGtbT

Hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since I crawled on my hands and knees across my living-room floor for months, organizing colored index cards into the first edition of my Manual. Never before had there been such a book. How to organize all that information? How to present it in a way that maybe, some folks might find helpful?
