Why not turn the tradition of year-in-review holiday letters, usually sent from one family to another, into

holiday greetings from your shop?

You could use such a letter as:

  • Your holiday greeting in direct mail (consignors, sellers, donors, customers, business neighbors)
  • A month-long bag stuffer
  • As the contents of your “take-one” baskets around the shop
  • As your check enclosure in December and/or consignor check mailings
  • A Get-To-Know-Us handout to new suppliers for at least the first 3 months of 2014!

Play around with the idea… wouldn’t it make your perceived business image a lot more local and friendly to your clientele?

santaonmoonBitter truth. Fewer shopping days, this year, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. That means folks will be even more harried than usual, and less likely to take the time to visit your shop. So make your shoppers so happy, they’ll think you’re Santa. Or that you hung the moon. Or both.
