I’ve been invited by the powers-that-be at Just Between Friends Sale HQ, Shannon and Daven and Michelle, as well as the Tampa-area franchise owners Holly and Christina, to be the fly on the wall during the seasonal consignment sale’s intake day. It’ll be an interesting resale experience, I’m sure!
I’ll be looking for ways to help you, Dear Readers (who are mostly “real” stores), work with, partner with, benefit from the seasonal sales that are getting so much press. They have some great opportunities and terrific marketing angles that we all can learn from…and adapt to our businesses. Remember Point #1!
I’m be taking my trusty camera and my index cards, and I’ll be reporting back to you ASAP. Keep tuned!
PS I’m not really shopping for stuff (no kiddos in my family) but for ideas and inspiration to help you. Hope some of it turns out to be “your size.”
In the meanwhile, talk amongst yourselves. Have you participated in seasonal sales, as a personal consignor or as a shop consignor? Paid to have your materials handed out or to have a display booth? What are your first-hand experiences? How do you think seasonal sales help year-round storefronts? How do they hurt? Ever been tempted to do this as consignor or franchise owner?
Have fun, Kate…nice to see you are always looking for something new to give to us! I know I have considered a seasonal consignment sale for graduation gowns…I will be looking forward to see what you bring back.
