Polish your branding with this simple retail tip

November 25, 2014 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

Whenever you make a decision for your consignment, thrift or resale shop,  USE that decision to finetune public perception of your business.

Example: you decide to accept incoming goods by appointment only. Careful wording can do so much to make this announcement be a statement of yiur business branding. Instead of “Starting Jan. 1 we will be accepting consignments by appointment only“, you could present this decision as: “New year, new amenity! We will, at your request, set aside time just for you to bring in your gently-used good items. Get our personal attention and get in and out fast! Simply make yur reservation by calling…[etc]”

Try this simple way of enhancing your branding today, if your shop will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Since many people feel it’s unfair of chain stores to require employees to interrupt their family’s holiday to report to work at 4 or 6 pm on Thanksgiving, use YOUR announcement to reinforce that, as a small and local business, you understand what’s important. Something like this graphic can do wonders for your shop’s image and goodwill!

We want yiu, and our employyes, to enjoy Thanksgiving
