Maybe you saw, on the TGtbT Facebook page, a little note about consignment shops seeking to expand their local audiences by running estate sales. (Missed that post? It’s here.) I know several shops are promoting this service here in my town. It’s a natural for any shop with a nice big mailing list… and some willing workers!

Another variation: a nonprofit has changed its business model from retail store to pop-up shop. Whether because of volunteer shortage or to build excitement, play up the scarcity angle, or to collect the $25 pre-sale admission fee, this could be workable for any thrift which has the space available and affordable.
