Choosing your New Year’s Resolutions for the coming year.

Consignment, resale, thrift stores: You ARE crowdsourcing, so market it as such!Great way to “update” the whole consign/ sell/ donate aspect of your business, don’t you think?

.

To define it as crowdsourcing?

What is crowdsourcing?

Examples of crowdsourcing

How are some web sites using crowdsourcing?

Crowdsourcing provides businesses whether large or small, new or well established to have access to a group of people eager and willing to tackle tasks and projects. This untapped valuable resource will soon become the focal point of businesses around the world. —Scalableworkforce.com

How can you see using crowdsourcing in your business?

The closer to Christmas it gets, it seems the more impossible the kids get… whether they’re wreaking havoc on your displays, causing chaos at family gatherings, or destroying the den.

Here’s the simplest solution: get them busy decorating their own paper-bag gingerbread men. Instructions here, but instead of making a “paperdoll” strip, I’d cut separate men, punching a hole in each arm. Then the child can take home his/her creation, or let you tie it with a bit of red yarn to another, to create a garland to display in-store.

If you’re doing these for small visitors in your shop, be sure to glue a business card on the back, so when Grandma admires it, she finds out about your consignment, resale, thrift shop!

Got a funky vibe going in your consignment, resale, or thrift shop?

Love the look of this display, to hang for-sale ornaments (or jewelry!) on.

A recycled idea for consignment, resale, thrift shops

Of course, who’s to say this has to be for holidays alone? Or even just funky? Make it sleek using finished “branches” painted pewter… make it sweet with gingerbread-trim components… make it childrenswear-obsessed with colorful branches (or black and white!)
