Wow, did you click on today’s post simply BECAUSE of the title? Hmm, lesson learned?
Yup, December 26. In the spirit of naming days in regard to their seasonal consumerism (Black Friday? Cyber Monday?), December 26 should be The Day of Disappointment.

However wonderful your December 25 might have been (hopefully, was!) with family and friends, fellowship and good cheer, wonderful food and drink…. if you didn’t receive what you really wanted chances are, on December 26, you’ll be out seeking that which
you really wanted.

I recently opened a broadcast email from a consignment shop owner which offered a deal. She wrote:
“buy a $100.00 Gift Card for $90.00!”
Now, think about this. A holiday gift-giver has decided that she’ll purchase a $100 gift certificate for her mother, daughter, employee or friend. You tell her she can have it, and KEEP $10.
As opposed to an offer like
“buy a $100.00 Gift Card & we’ll give you $10.00 in MyStore Bucks for yourself!”
Now what’s the difference in these two offers?

When do you all stop taking Christmas décor in?
Holiday-specific consignment goods for sure have a drop-dead date… and it’s for sure, the day AFTER whatever holiday. So should you stop taking Christmas-related items in… on December 1? December 5? October 25 (if your consignment period is 60 days) or September 25, if it’s 90 days?
