May’s almost here. It’s too late to plan a promotion around May Day* (which has kind of died away anyway. Seen any Maypoles around recently?) but how
about:
May 4: Teacher Appreciation Day. Time for a swing shop of small theme-appropriate gifts, a discount to teachers for the day (or week), or even a bowl of apples for all, the traditional gift to a teacher. Nothing wrong with writing a hand-written note to anyone whom you consider has taught you to be a better shopkeeper.

but April is such a busy season for most of us that it gets overlooked. We MEANT to plan some event, celebration, promotion…and we want tohelp the earth, but we dropped the ball. Or did we?
