If your consignment, resale, or thrift shop sells children’s clothing, you KNOW what a season-maker B-T-S can be. So with the help of some inspiration from Pinterest let’s get prepared….
This apparently is a stuffed ornament, but it’s a great and simple design for window backdrop, window painting… I love the polka dots but then you know, I’m crazy for polka dots.
Can you possibly link “fish” to your shop? Oh yes, heck yes, after all, it’s a SCHOOL OF FISH right? These little treat bags are perfect, made up with your own tag: You are o’FISH’ally wished a great new school year from MyShop. Remember: only as they exit, with parent’s permission, and have an alternative treat handy for those who have dietary restrictions.
Paint up a chalkboard sign the kids can add their grade to and pose with, for Mom’s photo op when the kids are modeling their new school togs. (Be sure to have your digital camera handy for mothers who can’t do this, then email the photo to her…)
And, how about a coffee-tea-and-glee morning get-together in your shop for the moms? This idea would work for a womenswear-only or home resale shop, too… as long as you want to attract the women of school-age kids, who might be feeling a bit giddy that day!
Hope these photos have gotten your Back-To-School imaginations going!

It’s always a bit of a relief when the kids go off to school, even if you do miss them a bit.
