What to give your favorite shopkeeper (even if it’s yourself)

December 15, 2014 by Auntie Kate of Too Good to be Threw

A simple, earth-friendly, and genuinely-useful gift for that friendly shopkeeper down the road, or in the next town. Something your recipient will use over and over again, all year long.

That’s all you ask.

Bonus points if it can be made with little cash and a little loving attention.

This idea’s so simple, and so useful… you’ll want a set for your own shop as well. (Or, simply print this post out and leave it around the house. Chances are someone is wondering what you could possibly need for Christmas…)

Go whole hog, and make a set of 5 in her shop colors, and another set in summer brights, and maybe even a set in black, so they “disappear” in a window display….

What, you say? You want to give a present to a consignment or resale shopkeeper who sells furniture and decor? Same idea, created with those 25-cent glass florists’ vases that overflow the shelves in every thrift shop. Here’s how to paint vases.
