This thought occurred to me as I was watching yet another News Crew at Five type of video clip about consignment, resale, and video. ( I watch a lot of these. In fact, I might watch every one there is.) Which strikes you more... the WORD "money" or this photo?

I got two emails from consignment shops today. Both were focused on the great items they had received in just then, and both mentioned some great, great stuff.  Both used a broadcast email service and had designed their email to be tempting and colorful. Each had a nice variety of clothing and accessories, good copy that made me want to get over there (1500 miles and 3000 miles away notwithstanding!)….

Elite Repeat will reach $1 million in money given to local agencies

This month, as the resale store celebrates its seventh anniversary, it will give away its $1 millionth dollar. Who exactly will receive the $1 millionth might be difficult to say, but it will be either Stillwater Habitat for Humanity or Stillwater Domestic Violence Services.

Of the 26 people who helped launch the resale shop, 19 are still volunteering there, Hesser added.

We made little mini-baskets out of woven construction paper, put a few spring blossoms and a loving note in them, and hung them on friend’s door knobs early in the morning (or put them on their stoops if we didn’t get up early enough to claim the coveted door knob spot).

Such a nice tradition…
